Police Explorers Program

The mission of the Galveston Police Explorer Program is to provide young men and women ages 14 to 20 a unique opportunity to explore careers in the Law Enforcement / Criminal Justice field and to interact one-on-one with Galveston police officers. Age-appropriate activities encourage program participants to gain a better understanding of this field.
Galveston Police Explorers also participate in various activities that help them develop leadership, responsibility, and communication skills as well as help them make informed decisions about their future. Additionally, the Explorer Program serves as a drug, gang, and crime prevention initiative that uses education and direct intervention by Galveston police officers to promote healthy lifestyles among local high school youth.
Being a police officer is an exciting career. If you are interested in finding out more about working in the Law Enforcement / Criminal Justice field or you want to participate in an adventurous and fun program, visit one of the Galveston Police Explorer Posts.
